Massive win for Delhi

It was murder in the first degree, as Dilshan, Gambhir and Warner ran riot with runs. DD won by 9 wickets, scoring 157/1.

Earlier Kolkotta could only muster 154/3, with van Wyk scoring 74. Delhi Daredevils moves to No 1 spot now.

Gambhir showed that he is in fine nick with an unconquered 71 no.

In the other match, Rajastan Royals blitzed to 211/4, with Naman OJha hitting five sixes and five fours in a superb display of batting. He was involved in a formidable partnership with G Smith, who stroked his to way a masterful 77.

Only Yuvraj scored 48 and the rest failed in Punjab’s total of 133/8.

Punjab wins

Great innings by Jayawerdene ( 52 no ) and Irfan ( 19 no ) pulled Punjab to a great win over the Kolkotta Knight Riders. Brad Hodge’s 70 no went in vain !

Kolkotta scored 153/3 and Punjab, thanks to Katich ( 34 ) and Jayawerdene ( 52 no ) & Irfan (19 no ) scored 154/4 !

In the other match Du Preez took 3 wickets, reducing the Mumbai Indians to 23/3. However Jayasuria stroked a powerful 52 no and they are now 82/3. They finished with 149/4.

Great batting by Uthappa (66 no ) and Kallis ( 69 no ) made the Bangalore win by a hefty margin of 9 wickets. Malinga was greeted with 2 effortless sixes by the veteran Kallis and Bangalore won easily.
