India win handsomely




The Indian bowlers struck back and WI could only muster 262, chasing 326 and India won by 63 runs.

In the early hours of the morning, Praveen Kumar scalped both Darren Bravo and Chanderpaul and WI were in the doldrums at 149/5. They were in furthur trouble at 188/8, when Sammy and Nash were out.

Sammy was caughtby Laxman off Mishra for 25 and Nash was trapped lbw by Mishra. Then last minute bravado by Rampaul ( 34), Bishoo ( 26) Fidel Edwards ( 15 ) could not save Windies !

Dhoni lauded Praveen's swing bowling as a debutant. Praveen took 3/42 and Ishant 3/81, while Mishra took two, Bajji one ane Raina one.

India lead the series 1-0. Dravid was declared Man of the Match.

When asked by reporters about bringing back Chris Gayle, Sammy retorted ' Why not bring back Viv Richards and Gary Sobers"

Dhoni kept his winning spree and is one of the best Indian captains ever. Rahul Dravid proved that he is still one of the best batsmen in the world with his superb century. If not for his 112, India would have been in the doldrums. The Indian pacers swung the ball both ways and took vital West Indies wickets, which paved the way for Indian victory !
