Rohit Sharma powers India to victory !

Rohit's brilliant 86 not out pulled India to victory and Amit Mishra and Munaf Patel took three wickets each to complete a brownwash !

India chased 226 to win, but were reduced to 92/6 by some great bowling by the West Indies. The hour findeth the man and in walked Rohti Sharma, who single handedly took India to a winning position. He was partnered by Bajji and they added 88 for the seventh wicket. Then another partner in the form of Praveen Kumar, who scored 25 not out, supported him and India won the match and the series.

Darren Sammy had Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in his first over and Simmons pulled off a magnificent catch to send back the dangerous Yousuf Pathan. It seemed the West Indies were on their way to take revenge, but they were stalled by the determination and the will power of Bajji and Rohit.

Bajji scored 41 off 64 balls which included a four and a six, but then he edged one to Baugh. But then Praveen Kumar held fort, smashing 25 off only 15 balls ! With four overs to spare, Sharma hit the winning runs.

Earlier Andre Russell hit a gutsy 92 off 64 deliveries, after the WI were 92/7, but then his brilliance could not save the West Indies. WI recovered to 225/8 in their fifty overs.

Duncan Fletcher, the Indian Coach, said that India has abundance of talent. Players like Rohit Sharma are waiting in the wings and India will not be short of talent for the next ten years. He complimented Young India for their superlative performance in the Carribean.
