Ganguly's presence affects turnaround ?

Sourav may not have played for Pune but his presence seems to have electrified the team. He is hungry for revenge and his team Pune turned around yesterday with a win, having lost seven consecutive matches.

Both desperate teams, Pune and Punjab locked horns yesterday and they beat Punjab by five wickets. Sourav appears pleased and he will go all out to prove a point ! His knowledge and experience will definitely benefit Pune Warriors !

Punjab were restricted to a mere 119/8, after the hosts opted to bat. As it was a small target, Yuvraj finished the game with a blistering knock of 35 off 15 balls. Pandey ( 28) and Ryder ( 15) raced to a good start, by adding 32 runs.

Bhatt removed Uthappa (22) and Ryder but Yuvraj consolidated with his fiery performance.

Yuvraj hit Bhatt for two fours and two sixes, 22 runs in the 15th over.

Rahul Sharma again bowled superbly and gave only 17 runs in his four overs and removed Gilchrist (3) and Valthaty ( 23). Mitchell Marsh, the younger brother of Shaun Marsh and the son of Geoff Marsh, took two wickets along with Parnell and B Kumar. Shaun Marsh ( 32) and Karthik ( 30 ) and Valthaty played well, but perished in the twenties and the thirties.
