Ganguly stars in Pune win !

Ganguly was unconquered on 32 when Pune won the match by six wickets.

Deccan's batting failed again, as they could only muster 136/8. Duminy top scored with 30. Teja also scored 30 and none of the other batsmen impressed.

For Pune, Ryder scored 35, Ganguly was 32 not out and M Pandey top scored with 49. Even though Uthappa and Yuvraj perished for 1 and 2, Pune reached the target of 137, for the loss of just 4 wickets.

Ganguly got an opportunity to silence his critics by a classic unconquered innings to guide Pune to an emphatic win by six wickets over the powerful Deccans.

He was unbeaten on 32 off 32 balls, as Pune overcame the Deccan score with ten balls to spare.

Mitchell Marsh came in the limelight with his brilliant 4/25, which restricted the Deccans to 136/8. Ryder's blistering 35 off 20 balls and Pandey's 49 paved the way for the Pune victory.

All eyes were riveted on Ganguly, as he strode to the wicket at the fall of Ryder. He did not disappoint his fans, as he batted sensibly and responsibly to take Pune home. After his return, Pune had won both the matches. It seems Pune is inspired by his knowledge and experience.

Ganguly joined Pandey, who was just two year old, when Ganguly made his debut for India. Both played responsibly - sanity is all that is needed - and brought home the bacon !

With three glorious fours and a mighty six off Mishra, Ganguly had proved that he is not over the hill !

137 was a humble score to chase, and Pune got it with Pandey's aggression, Ryder's brilliance and Ganguly's solidity !

Christian sent back Uthappa and Yuvraj, but Pandey and Ganguly held fort.

It was not a good start for Warriors as Dhawan and Teja put on fifty in six overs to set the tone for a fighting total.

Besides Marsh, Yuvraj took two wickets. Dhawan was out to Yuvraj, the first breakthrough for the team. Teja cut and drove Wagh for two consecutive fours and when B Kumar came, he blasted him for four. Dhawan lofted two into the stands. Yuvraj put a brake to the threatening partnership, sending back Dhawan.

Rahul Sharma proved his calibre , when he got rid of the dangerous Sanga. It is obvious that he is a player of the future !

Yuvraj accounted for Christian and M Marsh accounted for Duminy, who scored 30 off 30 balls !
