Bhargav Bhat, with his 4/22 shone like Sapphire and rightly got the Man of the Match !

Inserted into bat, Punjab were doing well at 129/2 at one stage, but lost six wickets in just 39 runs in the last five overs, to reach only 164.

Malinga with 2/24 supported Munaf. And the game was there for Mumbai to take, when the incredible happened.

Shaun Marsh scored 43 off 34 balls, while D Karthik ( 31 ) and Gilchrist (28) played well under the circumstances. Punjab moved to the 9th position and improved their chances to play in the play offs. Mumbai is still numero uno with 16 points from 11 matches.

Aiden Blizzard got Mumbai off to a great start, hitting Praveen Kumar for three consecutive fours. He piled up 12 runs before the demon swing bowler took two crucial wickets to trigger the Mumbai collapse.

164 seemed to be a chasable target, as Munaf made the difference for Mumbai with another double blow, sending back Karthik and Ryan Harris in the 19th over.
