Ishant exceptional : Sanga

Ishant was simply magnificent, says Sanga, about Ishant's great spell of 5/12. He mixed pace with swerve !

Other DC bowlers also deserve credit. Amit Mishra bowled his leg breaks beautifully and skillfullly, even on seamer's pitches. Our win against the Tuskers was a much needed one, as we reach the mid point of this IPL season. It was also well deserved.

At one stage we looked set for 145 but I still feel the 130 target was competitive.

The key thing for us was to get Mahela and Brendon out if the first six overs or so. We knew the damage both could do and we were desperate to strike early. Dale Steyn's brilliant first over was the perfect start.

Ishant has been bowling better and better in this tournament and his spell was exceptional. The pitch was tailor made for a bowler of his type and he fully capitalised on it, hitting the deck hard and putting the ball in the right areas. The delivery to get Mahela was a peach. It was the genius of Amit Mishra which got the in form R Jadeja out !
